With only one day left until they go on sale, we don’t stop seeing news about the Ryzen 7900X3D and 7950X3D. We have already been able to see performance graphs from AMD, which claimed that they would be up to 24% faster than an i9-13900K. But recently in some filtered review tests, we saw that the average difference was much smaller. Now the benchmarks are back and with only 5 games left, the Ryzen 7950X3D with an RTX 3090 turns out to be a 12% faster than i9-13900K with the same GPU.
Many gamers are looking forward to the new AMD processors so that they can upgrade their PCs and have better performance. This is completely normal, taking into account that we are probably facing the best processors for gaming. And it is that, to this day and for months, the best selling CPU by far is the AMD Ryzen 5800X3D. This already demonstrated in his day that the addition of 3D V-Cache offered much higher performance than the Ryzen 5000 without it. With this, we can already get an idea of how much the future Ryzen 7900X3D and 7950X3D could sell if the price was right.
The Ryzen 7950X3D is 12% faster in games than the i9-13900K
This is not the first time that the performance of the Ryzen 9 7950X3D has been leaked, because a couple of days ago we saw that this CPU was a 5.6% faster in games than the i9-13900K. While this doesn’t seem like much of an improvement, you have to remember that the 7950X was inferior to the i9 and furthermore, this was the average of 22 games. There were cases where considerable improvements were achieved, such as in the Horizon Zero Dawn with a 26.9%the F1 2021 with a 21.4% or Dota 2 with a 14.8%. Leaving behind these results from a few days ago, we now have another round of gaming benchmarks, where this time the Ryzen 7950X3D has been equipped with an RTX 3090.
Instead of using dozens of titles, we only have five games, all of which have been tested at 1080P resolution. In this case the Ryzen 7950X3D has been on average 12% faster than i9-13900K and 18% faster than 7950X. We see a brutal performance difference in the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with 149FPS Meanwhile he i9-13900K just enough 110FPS. In farcry 5 and in Shadow of the Tomb Raider we also see a difference of a eleven%but in Subway Exodus just go up a 5% and in Star Control it is inferior to Intel.
In Cinebench the performance of the Ryzen 7950X3D is slightly lower
Finally, we have the typical Cinebench test where we can see that the score obtained is 37,973 points. If we compare it with the 38,500-39,000 points who gets a Ryzen 7950X we see that there is a small loss. The same if we compare it to the 39,500-40,000 points which usually reach i9-13900K with good cooling in Cinebench R23.
If these results are met, especially in games, we would be facing a very interesting processor for all those players who are looking for the highest amount of FPS.
