343 Industries will no longer be the same: those responsible for the new Halo see a major restructuring of the studio

The trajectory of 343 Industries has been tied to Halo since its inception. In 2009, Bonnie Ross’s team was at the helm of Halo Waypoint, and it was in 2011 when they took the lead with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, the reissue of the Bungie classic. Now, and after 15 years at the helm of the studio, Ross leaves 343i and leave Microsoft doing important changes.

Bonnie Ross’s career has also been linked to Microsoft almost entirely. Beyond participating in Zoo Tycoon or Mass Effect, Ross was immersed in Psychonauts, Gears of War, Alan Wake, and Crackdown, either in the production chair either address. As reported by Ross herself in her personal twitter accountleaves his study for personal health problems.

While 343i has been at a multitude of junctures with the development of Halo Infinite’s post-launch content, as well as the development of the base game itself, this is not the time to reminisce. Until now, the director of the team has wanted to thank the dedication of the community and the support of your team. Before leaving, Ross comments that “the future of Halo is bright”, making clear not only his love for the series, but the respect towards microsoft and the rest of the team.

In fact, those from Redmond now have a lot to say. As WindowsCentral has commented, Microsoft has decided restructure the team commanding 343 Industries with Pierre Hintz at the head of the studio. they will follow him Bryan Koskiwho will become part of the management of the franchise and Elizabeth VanWickwho will oversee business and operations.

at least for now, phil spencer has not made any official statement on the departure of Ross or the change in the visible heads of 343 Industries. Hopefully the Xbox CEO wants clarify the situation before a problem that many have not been slow to point out that refers to the “poor performance” of Halo Infinite.
