A tropical adventure in Tchia can pleasantly surprise you – Latest News
The nine-person developer studio Awaceb brings good news for all those who desire an unforgettable quest. Adventure game Chia is finally coming, releasing this spring for PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Tchia will bring you a tropical adventure in an open world featuring a beautiful archipelago. You can climb, swim and raft, as well as take control of any animal or object. And last but not least, enjoy carefree gaming on ukulele.
The creators prepared more than 30 animals and hundreds of items, from which you can choose, fly around like a bird, explore the ocean like a fish, or search for treasures in the skin of a dog. Thus you have to use the unique abilities of each animal/item, explore the islands, solve puzzles, uncover secrets and to save his father from a cruel tyrant.
“Tchia is inspired by our homeland, New Caledonia, and it was extremely important to us that the people who worked on the game got to know this landscape, wildlife, culture, languages and customs firsthand,” said Phil Crifo, head of development and co-founder of Awaceb studio.
New Caledonia is a small island in the Pacific Ocean. The characters are voiced by local talent in traditional languages (either in Dreh, one of the oldest local New Caledonian languages, or in French). There will be subtitles in many languages, including English, French, Chinese or German. Unfortunately, the Czech language is not confirmed.
