All FIFA Cover Stars: 1993 to EA Sports FC 24

Erling Haaland, the Norwegian star of Manchester City, is the cover star of EA Sports FC 24the Electronic Arts football simulator that after 25 years changes its name, and many other things, by leaving behind the license of the FIFA. Many came before him (almost as many as the multitude of footballers who star in the Ultimate Edition card this year), and below we review all these idols of the masses.
FIFA International Soccer (FIFA 94)
The first video game in the long-running saga, FIFA International Soccer, arrived in 1993 for the Mega Drive and the following year on many other platforms. The European edition showed on the box David Platt and Piotr Świerczewski.

FIFA: Road to the 98 World Cup
FIFA 98 it had a lot of covers depending on which country it was bought in. FIFA 2001
Gaizka Mendieta starred on the cover of FIFA 2001 (PC, PS2 and PlayStation) in USA. In the other nations were Edgar Davids (Netherlands), Paul Scholes (UK), Gheorghe Hagi (Romania), Ben Olsen (USA), Ricardo S Pinto (Portugal), Filippo Inzaghi (Italy), Lothar Matthus (Germany), Thierry Henry (France), Leonardo (Brazil), Shimon Gershon (Israel) and Ko Jong-soo (South Korea).

FIFA Football 2002
The Real Madrid goalkeeper Ker Casillaswith his National Team kit, was the cover star of FIFA Football 2002, which added a version for Nintendo GameCube. In the rest of the world they were: Hidetoshi Nakata (Japan), Thierry Henry (France, United Kingdom and United States), Zlatan Ibrahimović (Sweden), Nuno Gomes (Portugal), Francesco Totti (Italy); Ruud van Nistelrooy (Netherlands), İlhan Mansız (Turkey), Gerald Asamoah (Germany), Lampros Choutos (Greece), Hong Myung-bo (South Korea), Sibusiso Zuma (South Africa and Denmark); Nawaf Al-Temyat (Saudi Arabia), Tomasz Radzinski (United States), Roberto Carlos (Brazil), Tomasz Frankowski (Poland) and Haim Revivo (Israel).

FIFA Football 2003
From the edition published in 2002, the covers were temporarily internationalized. One of the great turnarounds of the saga, FIFA 06had to Wayne Rooney and Ronaldinho on the covers of the whole world except for North America, where the Brazilian was joined by Omar Bravo and Freddy Ad.

FIFA 07
Regional differences returned with FIFA 07. Yes ok Ronaldinho appeared in almost all the European ones, in USA he was accompanied by David Villa, by Lukas Podolski in Germany and by Juninho Pernambucano in France; the international edition showed the Brazilian and Wayne Rooney. In North America, the cover featured Landon Donovan and Francisco Fonseca, and in South Korea Kim Nam-il.

FIFA 08
there was still Ronaldinho for a while. In FIFA 08 was accompanied by Sergio Ramos in USA, by Rooney in the international edition, by Miroslav Klose in Germany, by Euzebiusz Smolarek in Poland, and in North America, by Jozy Altidore and Guillermo Ochoa.

FIFA 09
FIFA 09 had Wayne Rooney and Higuan on the cover of our pas. Although in USA we said goodbye to Ronaldinho, it was not like that in the rest of the world: on the international card he was accompanied by Rooney, by Petr Čech in the Czech Republic, by Kevin Kuranyi in Germany, by Balzs Dzsudzsk in Hungary, by Daniele De Rossi in Italy, and in North America, by Maurice Edu and Guillermo Ochoa.

FIFA 10
Xavi Hernndez and Karim Benzem occupied the USAcovers of FIFA 10. On this occasion there were many regional albums in: United Kingdom (Theo Walcott, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney), Australia (Wayne Rooney and Tim Cahill), Austria (Wayne Rooney and Andreas Ivanschitz), Hungary (Wayne Rooney and Balzs Dzsudzsk), Poland (Rooney and Robert Lewandowski), Italy (Ronaldinho and Giorgio Chiellini), France (Karim Benzema, Steve Mandanda and Guillaume Hoarau), Germany (Wayne Rooney and Bastian Schweinsteiger), Portugal (Frank Lampard and Simo), North America (Frank Lampard, Sacha Kljestan and Cuauhtmoc Blanco) and Russia (Sergei Semak).

FIFA 11
Andrs Iniesta and Kak They are the footballers that appeared in the box FIFA 11 in USA. As already happened with Ronaldinho, Messi He was on the covers of the football simulator for years. In the USAof FIFA 14 appeared solo, as well as in the international version. However, he was accompanied by other stars depending on the country: Javier Hernndez (North America), Stephan El Shaarawy (Italy), Arturo Vidal and Radamel Falcao (Argentina, Chile, Panama, Venezuela), Gareth Bale (United Kingdom and Ireland), Michal Kadlec (Czech Republic), Robert Lewandowski (Poland), Balzs Dzsudzsk (Hungary), Xherdan Shaqiri ( Switzerland), David Alaba (Austria), Tim Cahill (Australia), Maya Yoshida and Makoto Hasebe (Japan), Mustafa Al-Bassas (Middle East).

The move of Electronic Arts with the Argentine is repeated in USA and in the rest of the world with FIFA 15. FIFA 17
Electronic Arts organized a popular vote to choose the cover star of FIFA 17. Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund was the winner against Anthony Martial, Eden Hazard and James Rodrguez.

FIFA 18
Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the cover star of the saga with FIFA 18. In this version there were several editions with the Portuguese footballer appearing in a different way. In addition, there was a Icon Edition starring the other Ronaldo, Nazrio.

FIFA 19
The Portuguese repeated again in all editions of FIFA 19although in the Champions Edition of the simulator Cristiano Ronaldo was accompanied by Neymar Jr.

FIFA 20
FIFA 20 It was distributed in three international editions. The standard had Eden Hazardthe Champions Edition with Virgil van Dijkand lastly, Zinedine Zidane appeared in the Ultimate Edition.

FIFA 21
The Paris Saint-Germain player, Kylian Mbappwas the cover star of FIFA 21 in its three editions: Standard, Champions and Ultimate.

FIFA 22
The French footballer who was almost a Real Madrid player repeated with FIFA 22: mbapp appeared in the standard edition and in the Ultimate.

EA Sports FC 24
