The Shiny variants are an important aspect in Pokemon GOas well as in the main series.

Finding and catching special and rare versions of these monsters has become an essential part of the series, so much so that Pokemon Scarlet and Purple incorporated mechanics to make these tasks easier. However, in Pokemon GO there is no alternative but to find as many creatures as we can until we come across a Shiny variant.

To motivate players to keep looking and expand their ambitions, niantic has revealed a number of new Shiny variants that players will be able to start capturing this month. In this article we will tell you what all the new additions are.

Some of them are exclusive to the new event that will be held the following days, both in person and in a global format. Others will appear in different forms from now on within the app.

Either way, players will need a lot of luck and hard work to get their hands on the new Shiny forms of Pokemon GO.

Shiny variants that can hatch from Eggs or appear in events

The following Shiny variants of Pokemon GO they can hatch from Eggs of different distances. Some of them belong exclusively to a Habitat of the new Pokemon GO Tour: Hoennso you will be able to find them in the wild during the event.

These are all new Shiny Pokemon confirmed:

  • Tropius Shiny: 10 km eggs.
  • Torkoal Shiny: 10 km Eggs.
  • Relicanth Shiny: 10 km Eggs.
  • Shiny Gulpin: Eggs from 5 km or in the Leafy Earth Habitat.
  • Surskit Shiny: Eggs from 5 km or in the Mysterious Fog Habitat.
  • Shiny Cacnea: Eggs from 5 km or in the Scorching Sand Habitat.

Pokemon that evolve from a Shiny variant

If you were already lucky enough to meet the monsters above in their Shiny variants of Pokemon GOyou’ll be happy to know that you only need to evolve them to get these new Shiny forms:

  • Masquerain Shiny: Evolves from Surskit Shiny.
  • Cacturne Shiny: Evolves from Cacnea Shiny.
  • Swalot Shiny: Evolves from Gulpin Shiny.

Shiny Pokemon that are obtained in curious ways

not all Shiny variants of Pokemon GO they are obtained by Eggs or wild encounters. Some have special requirements, and this time three of the same case have been added.

We can find Kecleon Shiny camouflaged in some random PokéStops, although you will need some luck.

Jirachi Shiny for his part needs more than luck. This singular Pokemon can only be obtained by completing a paid Master Research (€4.99) from February 20 to March 20, 2023.

This celebration will have a face-to-face event in Las Vegas that will be held on February 18 and 19 in the United States. On the other hand, players from all over the world will also be able to participate in a global event from February 25 to 26.

Players who choose a certain route will score points for the Pokemon on this route to invade Pokemon GO. These include Plusle, VOlbeat, Trapinch, Solrock, and Castform for the Ruby route. We can also find more Minum, Illumise, Lunatone, Wailmer and Castform if he wins the Sapphire route.
