AMD Introduces the Most Powerful AMD Radeon PRO Graphics Cards

AMD today announced AMD Radeon PRO W7000 Series Graphics Cards for workstations, based on the high-performance and power-efficient AMD RDNA 3 architecture: the AMD Radeon PRO W7900 and AMD Radeon PRO W7800 Graphics Cards.

As the world’s first professional graphics cards to feature AMD’s advanced chiplet design, as well as the first to support DisplayPort 2.1 for a superior visual experience on next-generation displays, AMD Radeon PRO W7000 Series Graphics Cards are the most powerful graphics cards available. AMD has built to date. While the AMD Radeon PRO W7900 offers up to 1.5 times faster performance than the previous generation, both graphics cards offer better performance per dollar than the competition for the most demanding creative and professional applications. Key features include:

  • AMD RDNA 3 architecture and chiplet design: provides higher performance and efficiency than RDNA 2 architecture. The new AMD RDNA 3 compute units share resources between rendering, AI, and ray tracing, to deliver approximately 50% more ray tracing performance per compute unit than the previous generation.
  • Dedicated AI Acceleration and Second Generation Ray Tracing: new AI instructions and increased performance is double that of the previous AMD RDNA 2 architecture, while second-generation ray tracing technology offers significantly higher performance than its predecessor.
  • AMD Radiance Display Engine with DisplayPort™ 2.1 support: supports the highest resolutions and more than 68 billion colors. Offers support for higher refresh rate displays compared to AMD RDNA 2 architecture and competitive offerings. Display outputs support next-generation equipment and multi-monitor configuration options, creating an ultra-immersive viewing environment.
  • Certification for leading professional applications: AMD continues to work with leading providers of professional software applications to ensure that AMD Radeon PRO Graphics Cards are designed for demanding 24/7 environments and tested to exceptional standards, providing the ideal balance. performance and stability. The list of certified applications can be found on the website of AMD.

The AMD Radeon PRO W7000 Series Graphics Cards are expected to be available at major retailers beginning in Q2 2023 for a starting cost of $3,999, while the AMD Radeon PRO W7800 will be available for $2,499. The product is expected to be available on OEM and SI systems in the second half of 2023.

AMD Radeon PRO W7000 Series Workstation Graphics Cards will also be on display April 16-19 at Booth #N2158 (North Hall) at The NAB Show 2023, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada.
