AMD’s Ryzen 7000X3D processors reveal price and release date
Revealed during CES 2023, the Ryzen 7000X3D processors are the successors of the successful 5800X3D. Optimized for gaming, AMD considers them the best gaming processors. Now, we finally have a release date and price nailed down by the CPU maker.
The new AMD processors seek to reuse Caché 3DV technology in order to be above the competition in the gaming area. According to the company, they seek to measure themselves in that area even with the i9-13900K, and perhaps the i9-13900KSthe two heavyweights of the current generation of Intel.
Having previously leaked a launch for February 14, which was denied by AMD itself, now the red team finally concrete when they will be available these new CPUs. As the company has announced, these processors will arrive in two batches: the Ryzen 9 7950X3D and 7900X3D will be launched the 28th of Februarywhile the Ryzen 7 7800X3D will April 6.
Being the predecessor of these chips a Ryzen 7, it is the first time that AMD’s top of the range incorporates this technology, which makes the 7950X3D a his most ambitious project of this generation. On the other hand, the prices of these processors do not differ much from their versions without 3DV, with an increase of 50 dollars.
The most “demure” of these new processors will be the 7800X3D, which will come with a price of $449. On the other hand, its two big brothers, the 7900X3D and 7950X3D, will cost 599 and 699 dollars respectively. Keep in mind that these are the prices for sale to the public in the United States, which do not include taxes. Here, it would have to apply VAT.
Even so, we still do not have the official prices in Europe. Although these help us to get an idea of how much CPUs will cost on our continent, we have to wait for AMD to be the one to officially confirm how much will it cost to upgrade one of their new beasts for gaming.
