Despite the fact that in recent months, after the release of Elden Ring – recognized as the best-selling game in the industry – many interesting details have been discovered about the title that could be useful to other players, we will most certainly continue to find advice, tutorials and tricks on the Internet for a long time.

The latter is not surprising since Elden Ring is known for its difficulty -as FromSoftware has done with several of its installments-, its interactive open world and rewarding gameplay. Thus, players have dedicated themselves to observing and putting into practice their best techniques to defeat the brutal enemies, especially the mandatory ones, which are known not only for their menacing appearance, but also for being a great challenge.

The nature of Elden Ring is combat-focused, so the large number of enemies and their respective attacks are very varied, so it’s impressive that players have put so much effort into learning the mechanics of the game. Especially since there are some bosses more dangerous than others, of course. And it is the case of Malenia, Miquella’s sword, one of the most difficult bosses in Elden Ring, whose speculations about her intriguing story have been swaying among the player base unsure why FromSoftware took creative liberties for her. But what is true is that fighting Malenia is one of the biggest challenges in Elden Ring.

Yes ok, Malenia is not a mandatory boss, has drawn a lot of attention from players after they discovered its enormous power and the curiosities surrounding the mysterious character. Bosses like her have become almost a cult within the gaming community, as evidenced by her fans in numerous pieces of art. Even recently, a 3D-printed replica of her golden helm, a protective case that is part of her armor, went viral. And it was so precise that more than one player wanted to have it on her shelves.

But, back on topic, while there are those who spent many hours of their time just to find a way to beat her over and over again through weapons or spells and personally help other players to do the same -like the legendary LetMeSoloHer-, a player discovered an ingenious technique that could end the problems of more than one fan.

Sometimes fans are lucky enough to find the best method to defeat Malenia, like Reddit user Chegs978. This player shared a video on the Elden Ring subreddit where he shows her fighting Malenia during the second phase of her fight, in which she becomes even more dangerous. It is at that moment that when she becomes Malenia, Goddess of Decay, and restores all her HP. Initially we can see that the user has an almost full health bar, however, things immediately take a radical turn for the player. Thus, Chegs978 consumes a Vial of Wonder Drugs and strikes back at Malenia with a rare madness-based attack called Unbearable Frenzy. Curiously, this attack deals enough damage to Malenia, ranging in thousands of DPS:

After landing a few hits with this attack, Malenia begins to lose balance, however, she recovers almost immediately, although her health bar is affected by subsequent attacks. He jumps to counterattack and fails, as his health depletes before he can accomplish his goal: hitting the player. The video titled “Cometa Azur what?”, makes fun of Comet Azurwhich is an Elden Ring spell that resonated with players due to the fact that there are many tutorials showing how to use it to trick the most difficult bosses.

Judging by the title, the player feels that “Unbearable Frenzy” has helped him more than Comet Azur. Even many Internet users agree with the author, after comparing the statistics required by both attacks. For its part, Comet Azu requires a whopping 60 intelligence, which means that it can only be used by players who have invested heavily in intelligence. And while Unbearable Frenzy also has a high faith requirement of 31, it’s not the same as Azure Comet.
