The waves of layoffs are wreaking havoc, and today it is time to comment on the situation at EA, which has reduced its workforce by 6%leaving nearly 800 employees jobless.
The Anglo-Saxon company has confirmed that it is in the process of internal restructuring and is looking for new strategies to maximize your opportunities. For this reason, it has eliminated several jobs within its organization, as announced by its CEO: Andrew Wilson.
“[La compañía] is operating since a position of strength […] We are moving away from projects that do not contribute to our strategy […] and restructuring some of our teams,” says the executive in charge of the company, although he also addressed the dark side of the restructuring.
“This is the hardest part, and we are going through the process with the highest consideration and respect. Where we can, we are providing opportunities to transition to other projects. Where it’s not possible, we’re offering financial compensation and additional benefits, such as health insurance and career transition services,” says Wilson.
