Apex Legends Mobile abandons the fight and shuts down in May
Apenx Legends Mobile will be disappearing from the Apple and Android digital stores soon, as Respawn has announced through an EA blog post. Less than a year after its launch, the promising shooter acknowledges that it has not offered the quantity or quality of content that users deserve.
Although disappointing, we are proud of the game we released, we appreciate the support of the Apex Legends community, and we are confident that this is the right decision for players.
The contents and rewards of the game, as well as the application itself to play, will continue to be operational until May 1, the date on which the game will disappear permanently. But from this moment it will no longer be possible to download the game or buy in-game currency.
It seems that mobile titles are going through a bad time, since a few weeks ago Crash Bandicoot: On the Run also reported the closure of the game, and the same thing happened with The Witcher: Monster Slayer, which announced its closure on June 30.
