Assassin’s Creed in 2090 – According to a well-known insider, Red will bring massive story changes

The Assassin’s Creed series often moves into supernatural realms, and this could soon be added in the future.
There’s a lot going on with Assasin’s Creed: AC Mirage has turned away from the mammoth RPG open worlds of the three predecessors and does not contain any gameplay passages in modern times. But the changes could soon be much more drastic. According to insiders, Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red takes place not only in the past, but also in the future.
Assassin’s Creed: Red is partly set in the future, say insiders, and they probably already know when exactly
That’s what it’s about: Dataminers have found a video sequence in the depths of AC Mirage that was deleted from the final game and dubbed the AC Neo teaser. In it, two people talk about a “Great Shift” that, from their perspective, took place in the distant past – in the 21st century. You can read more about it here:
But if you’d rather take another look at it Baghdad of the past in AC Mirage want to throw:

Now there are probably more details: The usually pretty reliable insider Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming has spoken to a few anonymous sources about this dialogue. They’ve apparently revealed some new information to him about what’s next for the Assassin’s Creed segments that have taken place in the modern world so far.
AC Red also plays in the future: While AC Neo is another working title for Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe, the next franchise part is called Codename Red and takes place in Japan of the past. But according to the sources, the moments outside of the Animus will no longer take place exclusively in our present time, but will largely also take place in the future.
More precisely: 2090 to 2099. In any case, this is the period that the anonymous insider gaming sources mention. Of course, this more or less suggests that in the next Assassin’s Creed we will experience exactly the same big shift that was talked about in the teaser for Hexe. It is possible that its parts outside of the Animus take place much further into the future than 2099.
Everything in AC Infinity: Strictly speaking, the modern gameplay passages should no longer be played in the individual Assassin’s Creed parts like Red. Instead, the story will be experienced outside of the actual game and within Assassin’s Creed Infinity. AC Infinity serves as a kind of hub world for everything that doesn’t take place in the past.
Can you perhaps even imagine a complete Assassin’s Creed that only takes place in the future and not in the past at all? What do you think about it?
