Assassin’s Creed Mirage brings back the best outfit feature from Assassin’s Creed 2

Assassins, brings, Creed, feature, Mirage, outfit

There will be a feature in Assassin’s Creed Mirage that AC fans have long wished back.

Many old virtues of the Assassin’s Creed series return in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The open world is smaller and the focus is more on stealth and classic assassin craft. But that’s not all: a popular cosmetic feature has also been doomed for many years and is finally making a comeback.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage creators confirm: This outfit feature from the Ezio parts is finally making a return

That’s what it’s about: We spoke to Ubisoft Bordeaux animation director Benjamin Potts about Assassin’s Creed Mirage. In an interview, he confirmed to us that a popular feature from the older Assassin’s Creed parts is returning:

  • Yes, you can in Assassin’s Creed Mirage dye your clothes again. So there are dyes in the new Ubisoft game, and they come in different colors and variations, according to Benjamin Potts.

You can do that here new AC Mirage gameplay Watch from the Ubisoft Forward:

The dyes are collectables, so we can probably get the different colors as in-game rewards or find them in special places and then use them. The extras of the Deluxe Edition of Assassin’s Creed Mirage also include special colors for our outfits.

Like in old times: Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed 3, Black Flag, Unity and Syndicate already had the ability to dye outfits.

In the newer parts like Assassin’s Creed Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla, however, fans had to do without it. Some adjustments were certainly possible, but simple coloring was not.

The leaks were correct: It was speculated in advance that AC Mirage would bring back the coloring function. A leaked image had already pointed this out, now we know for sure.

Sexism issues at Ubisoft: The French developer and publisher has been accused of a toxic corporate culture since July 2020. These include far-reaching sexism problems, misogyny and discrimination, which are said to be deeply rooted in the company. Although Ubisoft has already drawn conclusions, for example by exchanging management staff and openly commenting on the allegations, many employees feel that these measures are not sufficient within the company.

How exactly do we dye the clothes? That hasn’t been revealed yet. So it’s not yet clear if we’ll be able to dye multiple times with one dye and sort of just unlock the feature. It also remains unclear how and where the coloring takes place. It would be conceivable that, like in AC2, we would have to go to a tailor again.

Are you looking forward to finally being able to dye your outfits yourself again? What colors are you hoping for?
