The video game event Tokyo Game Show started this week, and so much sega as Atlus have released a new trailer for their next Persona 3 Reload. The remake of the 2006 classic role-playing game features Strega, one of the groups opposing SEES, and its members: Takaya Sakaki, Chidori Yoshino and Jin Shirato.
Strega takes advantage of a phenomenon called The Dark Hour, which is a hidden period of time between each day that most people cannot perceive. This group uses it to carry out requests for revenge against others. While the main group, SEES strive to solve the mystery of the Dark Hour, and end it.
On the other hand, the battle system was improved. Now, there will be features inherited from Persona 5 to Persona 3 Reload, such as Direct Commands and Assistance. Each party member can be controlled quickly and intuitively with direct commands and uses Assist to automatically target enemy weaknesses. Additionally, the Baton Pass mechanic from Persona 5 has been incorporated into Persona 3 Reload as Shift.
Another added mechanic is the special ability called Theurgy. These are powerful abilities that can only be used when a character’s bar is full. The Theurgy gauge charges during battle when a character attacks, uses skills, or performs other actions. Each character’s personality influences what type of actions are most effective in charging the gauge quickly.
Persona 3 Reload will release on February 2, 2024 for $70 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. You can see the trailer below.
