Baldur’s Gate 3 DOUBLES its requirements for PC before launch
Baldur’s Gate 3 has been with us for almost 3 years in the form of Early Access on Steam. But a few days ago we saw how Sony revealed in its State of Play that Baldur’s Gate 3 would also come to PS5 and the launch day will be August 31. In turn, it was revealed that Baldur’s Gate 3 had problems on Xbox and that it could delay the launch on this console. One of the most anticipated games of this year for lovers of classic RPG is Baldur’s Gate 3. This time BioWare will not be in charge to develop this role-playing and action adventure, but Larian Studios, well known for their Divinity: Original Sin. Since 2019, when we were presented with the first trailer and announcement of the game, we knew that we could be facing a sequel worthy of the name of Baldur’s Gate. Baldur’s Gate 3 raises its requirements on PC compared to Early Access
It was in 2020 when Larian Studios put their new Baldur’s Gate 3 on Steam in early access form. With this, all fans and interested in the game could start to play it from almost the beginning of its development. The number of missions, enemies, NPCs and content in general it was very limited, but we could get an idea of what the game was like and its progress. It’s been a long road but after so many years of development Baldur’s Gate 3 is finally coming to fruition. PS5, PC, Mac and GeForce NOW.
The Xbox issue has already been discussed before, because until they solve the problem of the split screen cooperative mode we will not have a date Here it was implied that it could be the fault of the Xbox Series S and its lower performance, although this was not verified by the developers. What we are clear about is that the minimum and recommended requirements for Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC are greater than those of Early Access:

- Memory: 16GB of RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
- DirectX: DirectX 11
- Storage: 150 GB of available space
This is how the requirements have changed from 2020 to 2023
The minimum requirements for early access of Baldur’s Gate 3 were revealed in 2020. As a general rule, we expect that the requirements of a game will not vary too much from its Early Access to the final version. What is going to happen logically is that the necessary storage capacity increases, since we added content. But if there haven’t been notable graphic improvements, patches that add technologies like Ray Tracing or similar, we shouldn’t see big changes. Well, in Baldur’s Gate 3 the minimum and recommended requirements of processor, graphics and storage thus:
