Bandai Namco Announces the Return of a Favorite Character to Tekken 8 and an Alpha Test

Bandai Namco has posted a detailed breakdown of Tekken 8, confirming Nina Williams as a returning character and planning an alpha test.

On Sunday, the publisher aired a 36-minute breakdown of the fighting sequel’s gameplay, including its heat system, rage system, and recovery gauge.

In addition to the stream, Bandai Namco posted a trailer that introduces Nina Williams for the first time. Nina has been a mainstay in Tekken since the original game in 1994.

Finally, Bandai Namco confirmed that a closed alpha test for Tekken 8 will be held in multiple locations globally, in order to gather feedback on the new battle systems introduced to the game.

The first closed alpha test will take place at Evo Japan next month. To participate, players will need to apply through the special website that will open later in February.

Tekken 8 was first officially announced in September, during a PlayStation State of Play live stream.
