Content: What does Update 1.2 deliver?
Update 1.2 is full of improvements and changes for Battlefield 2042. All patch notes can be found on page 2 of this article. We have summarized the most important content for you in the following list:
- Revision of the map Kaleidoscope: Added new cover options, flag locations, terrain heights, and visual updates of various locations. This is intended to give infantry a better chance at Kaleidoscope, while tactically oriented destruction plays a greater role. In addition, there are two completely new areas on the map with a forward base of operations in the park and a second command post near the tower.
- Battlefield Specialist character models have been adjusted. Overall, their look is becoming darker and the beards are getting longer. This is intended to make the specialists’ appearance more authentic in the dark setting of Battlefield 2042.
- Players now have access to their personal player profile including statistics, with which one’s own performance can be better understood. In it, players can find information such as their current rank, how much XP is needed until the next one, and what it takes for certain unlocks and championships.
- The RAH-68 Huron and YG-99 30mm guns will be nerfed: Both weapons now overheat faster, while the BSV-M’s full auto mode gains a precision penalty. Last but not least, the high-powered ammunition is treated to a faster damage decay at a distance. These changes aim to improve the balancing of Battlefield 2042.
