Ben Stiller doesn’t plan to apologize for Tropic Thunder

Ben Stiller he is proud of Tropic Thunder and stands by his film, even though it was quite controversial at the time for a variety of reasons, and would probably never have been greenlit for shooting today. What many people still don’t understand to this day is that the movie was a parody about Hollywood actors who do anything to win awards. But that perception of satire did not reach the masses.

Someone recently tweeted at Ben Stiller saying he should stop apologizing for Tropic Thunder, but by the actor’s own admission, he never did, something he also detailed on his Twitter account.

“I’m not apologizing for Tropic Thunder. I don’t know who told you that. It’s always been a controversial movie ever since we released it. Proud of it and the work everyone did on it.”

Even Robert Downey Jr.who donned blackface in the film, has previously come out to defend her and her role in Tropic Thunder.
