Bethesda has released new details about Starfield’s story, giving us an insight into the timeline of the game’s events.
We start in the year 2050, when humans first land on Mars. This seems to be a huge leap forward for space colonization, since by 2100 humans are capable of living in space. We then jump to 2156, when humanity reaches Alpha Centauri.
Alpha Centauri is 4.57 light-years from Earth, which means that at this point we already have the ability to travel at superluminal speeds. In 2159 the United Colonies are established and in 2160 New Atlantis is founded, which the following year is the official capital of the United Colonies.
