Black and white samurai homage Trek to Yomi is out next week
The publisher Devolver Digital, together with the developer studio Flying Wild Hog Trek to Yomi announced for the Nintendo Switch. The side-scrolling action adventure is scheduled for release on the Nintendo console next week, January 30th.
Trek to Yomi was released last year for current consoles and the PC and attracted attention with its black and white look. The game sees itself as a homage to old samurai films.
The game tells the story of the young swordsman Hiromi, who swore to his late master to protect his city from any danger. received upon its release Trek to Yomi average ratings. While the presentation and staging was mostly praised, the adventure gameplay wasn’t completely convincing.
