Black Desert Online is free for a limited time

Pearl Abyss, developer and publisher of the hit . Black Desert Onlinehas announced today that it will offer its flagship game for free on Steam and on the official website for a limited time.

Now everyone can join a welcoming community of over 20 million players on an exciting adventure, just in time to take part in the game’s seventh anniversary celebrations in NA and EU.

During the discount period, the Traveler Edition of Black Desert Onlinewhich includes the base game, will be freeproviding unlimited access to the award-winning MMO, while other packs will also receive a huge 70% discount. New and existing adventurers will be delighted to know that Pearl Abyss has increased the value of its 7th Anniversary Celebration Login Events, now offering in-game discounts.

Black Desert Online will be available at a 100% discount on the base game (Traveler Edition) and 70% in other packages at the following times:

Spring server improvementsAdventurers can quickly level up their characters through the recently opened Spring Season servers. This allows new players, as well as existing players, to quickly get up to speed. Additionally, adventurers can now receive more combat EXP from all life skill activities. For example, a level 56 character can earn 7.7 times more Combat EXP by fishing. When the same character fishes on the Spring Season server, this EXP will be multiplied by 3.

Fishing takes on an important role in the Spring Season by having an exclusive fish called coleacanth. Once captured, it can be exchanged for various season progression items, including the “Dream Crystal of Balance“, who has the ability to perform guaranteed upgrades of Capotia’s accessories up to the highest upgrade level of PEN (V). In this way, adventurers can shorten the time spent defeating monsters by fishing during downtime on their journey through the world of Black Desert.

The new season’s weekly quests have been improved by significantly reducing the number of monsters that need to be defeated to complete them. For example, the number of Gahaz Bandits to be exterminated has been reduced to 500, down from 5,000 previously.

Adventurers can grow their characters even faster by taking advantage of season leveling and time rewards. Starting today, 300% Combat XP (for characters level 51 and higher), 50% Skill XP, and 30% Life Skill XP will be applied to all Season servers. For those who are completely new to the game, useful starting items can be obtained at each level, including the powerful PEN (V) Tuvala accessories.
