Bungie claims Zavala will appear in future Destiny content
Bungie has confirmed that the late Lance Reddick (Commander Zavala) will appear in all future Destiny content.
The actor, who was found dead in his home last week, was widely known in the gaming world for his role as Commander Zavala in Destiny.
In a blog post, Bungie has said that it plans to “honor his presence through his performances yet to come in the game.”
“The tributes that have come to Lance have been overwhelming; from endless sincere messages on social networks to impromptu respect meetings on the corner of the Torre de Zavala, overlooking the Last City”, Bungie wrote.
“As an actor, musician, gamer and family man, the passion that Lance brought to the things he loved was reflected in the eyes and hearts of all who loved him.
“For now, we will honor his presence through his performances yet to come in the game and through memories that will last a lifetime.
“We are deeply saddened by his passing, but very grateful for the time we spent together, and our thoughts are with his friends and loved ones.”
Reddick also played Sylens in Guerrilla’s Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West.
“Thank you, Lance Reddick, for everything you have brought to the character of Sylens, for sharing your infinite talent and wisdom with us, for your generous warmth and inimitable presence, and for your profound impact not only as part of our cast. but in our community.” the Sony studio said in a statement last week.
