It is there, it exists and it will arrive in November, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 wants to do even better than last year and seeks to seduce. And for that, all means are good, especially gifts.
Activision knows its target perfectly and is doing its best to get people talking about its game. It hasn’t been released yet, but Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2023) intends to win. However, the FPS that we already imagine explosive, almost never saw the light of day since, as a reminder, originally, there was not to be a big episode this year.
COD Modern Warfare 2 was indeed to last a few years in solo before a new opus took over. But a few months after the release of the latter, rumors suggested changes in direction. Old habits die hard. Some will say that it was premeditated anyway, but that we will never know. What is certain in any case is that a new episode is indeed coming and that Activision is going all out.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, the Call of Ultimate?
At first, this new MW3 multiplies the references to one of the most popular episodes of the license, if not THE best for many, COD Modern Warfare 2 (2009). A very generous game for the time and which also shocked and launched a controversy because of its ultra demonstrative violence and especially the famous mission of the attack at the airport. A few minutes of gameplay that shook a lot of people and didn’t have more to Russia at the time. Nearly 14 years later, Activision is stepping back in to catch the eye of older gamers. The great villain of MW3, who made his debut as a secondary antagonist in MW2, Makarov, signs his big return and the allusions to the controversial mission are numerous. Rather ballsy given the current geopolitical tensions elsewhere.
Added to this are recent rather serious rumors suggesting that the multiplayer maps of this Modern Warfare 3 would all be remastered versions of maps from MW2 (2009).
Afghan, Terminal, Derail or even Rust could therefore make a comeback at the end of the year in completely revamped versions, of course. Add to that the possibility of importing their weapons, upgrades and skins from Modern Warfare 2 (2022) and here you have all the ingredients to impress fans of the franchise. But Activision also has another string to its bow, gifts!
Free content you can grab in MW3
What better way to talk about your game than the good old method of free content. Activision will hold a big event on August 17 to show the first gameplay footage of its COD Modern Warfare 3, but not only. The publisher will at the same time launch a small promotional campaEsports Extrasto reward its loyal and curious little ones. Completely free content in the form of cosmetics for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone which can therefore, in part, be imported into MW3 when it is released. Life isn’t good?
To participate in this XXL event, you will first have to download COD Warzone since it is indeed in game that this is happening. At 7:30 p.m. sharp, players will have to go on a raid against enemy forces (Konni), and obviously, it’s around the observatory that it’s happening. At the moment, everything is still quite mysterious, but something huge is on the horizon.
In any case, participating in the event will give you several totally free rewards:
- A new weapon, the AR M13C
- A weapon charm
- A Crimson Sound card
- A vehicle skin
- An emblem
- Battle Tokens
All of these rewards will be obtainable in COD MW2 and COD Warzone 2.0, and most of them will be transferable to Modern Warfare 3 upon release.
As a reminder, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 10, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
