Modern Warfare III players criticize “Fortnite skins”

The new wave of criticism from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III community is directed at the game's latest skins. Players criticize the lack of reality attributed to cosmetics and consider them “from Fortnite” for that reason.

On Reddit, a thread reveals that some players are unhappy with the path taken by the game. This is because, in addition to changing the concept through faster movement and high TTK, Sledgehammer has been offering rewards that deviate from the “standard” established by Modern Warfare.

According to “Viktorieluz”, sales of Modern Warfare III would “double” if the cosmetics were more realistic. However, as the title would be going through a “bad moment” in relation to skins, only those who enjoy Fortnite-style outfits would be investing.

I do not oppose fortnite-y skins but don´t say this wasn´t the best time for skins in general. If they started making skins like these again their sales would double, since both sides would start buying again not just the ¨Fortinite¨ skins fans

In the comments, internet users supported the topic and stated that they would like to take the “MW 2019” skins to the current game. Another player even said that he “would pay 200 dollars just to bring the packages back”. Despite this, some people still defend the “modern” aesthetic of the items.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC.
