During Capcom’s showcase event, a new trailer for Dragon’s Dogma 2, the long-awaited sequel to the open-world RPG, was unveiled.

The game’s original director, Hideaki Itsuno, has returned to direct Dragon’s Dogma 2which will be executed in the Capcom’s RE engine. It has been announced that the game world will be four times larger than the originaland it has been hinted that the gameplay will focus on immersive physics, which could significantly change the game’s combat.

The sequel will keep familiar elements like the NPC companion system known as Pawns, new vocations and monsters, and interesting characters like Ulrika and Nadinia, members of the Beastren race. In Dragon’s Dogma 2, the system of forming a team of up to four characters will be maintained, as in the original. In addition to the player’s avatar, a Pawn companion can be customized to assist in combat, as well as borrow two soldiers from other players. Although the Pawns will continue to be controlled by the AI, their ability to make precise decisions has been improved compared to the previous game. This has been reported by the developer.

Capcom confirmed that the game will be available on PS5, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S, but has not revealed a release date yet.
