Change language in Hogwarts Legacy: How to play with German or English synchro
Here’s how to change the language of Hogwarts Legacy.
You have installed Hogwarts Legacy, are ready for the induction ceremony in the castle, but your desired language is not set? Then you can save yourself the search in the game settings. There you will only find the option to switch the subtitles on or off – and only in the language in which the game is issued.
On the other hand, if you want to adapt the texts and soundtrack of the characters, for example to English, in order to savor the British charm of the Harry Potter universe more, you have to do this in a roundabout way.
Change language on PlayStation 5
To change the Hogwarts Legacy language on PS5, you must exit the game and go into the console’s settings. There you have to change the console language in the language settings to exactly the language you want to have in the game.
The following path will take you to the necessary PS5 setting:

Change language on Xbox Series X/S
To customize the language for Hogwarts Legacy on the Xbox Series X/S, navigate to the console settings. There you click through to the language setting and adjust the language and the language region.

Important step after changing the language: Close the game completely (so that it no longer runs in the background via Quick Resume, for example) and restart the console. Otherwise, the newly set language may not be adopted.
Hogwarts Legacy will be released on February 10, 2023 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game will be released on PS4 and Xbox One on April 4th. The Nintendo Switch version, on the other hand, will be released on July 25th.
