The next Call of Duty has been officially unveiled. Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 10th and thanks to the reveal event we already know a lot of details about the new offshoot of the shooter series. One of them will increase the difficulty in multiplayer and whether that’s a good idea – fan opinions are certainly divided.

We’ll tell you what it’s all about and, above all, we want to hear your opinion in our survey.

CoD MW3 makes it harder for you with a longer time-to-kill

Anyone who throws themselves into the multiplayer of MW3 has a harder time than it was the case with MW2. The reason for this is the drastically increased time-to-kill. Base health is boosted so it will take significantly longer to kill enemy players.

What does that mean exactly and what are the implications? In MW2 the value for the base life was still 100, now it is raised to 150, i.e. by 50 percent. Or to put it another way: What previously took 2 seconds now takes a full 3 seconds.

As a result, the skill gap becomes significantly wider, because all of a sudden you have to hit more often and more precisely, which of course is particularly beneficial for particularly experienced players. So if you were previously satisfied with the status quo at MW2, you should not be happy about this change. Logically, the entry hurdle is also higher for newcomers.
