CoD Warzone 2 and MW2 give you 7 new cosmetic items if you have PS Plus

You can dust off a whole range of free items in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.

Free goodies are always a good thing and of course that also applies to Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare 2. Both games now have a new combat pack called Shadow or Combat Pack 5: Shadow. There’s a catch though: you can only get the cosmetic items if you have a PS Plus subscription, at least for now.

This is how you get the free CoD Warzone items: You need a PS Plus subscription

That’s what it’s about: Thanks to the long-standing promotional partnership between Sony’s PlayStation and Activision’s Call of Duty franchise, there’s some free goodies back for those with a paid PS Plus subscription. A total of seven cosmetics are included in Combat Pack 5.

This is in it:

  • Oni Operator Skin
  • 2 weapon blueprints: Shade Thrower (Lachmann-556 AR) and Gloom and Doom (BAS-P SMG)
  • talisman
  • stickers
  • business card
  • emblem

This is how the whole thing looks like: You can watch a short trailer for the content here. In particular, the skin for Oni should be well received by some fans and the two gun blueprints also make a chic impression:

How to get there: First and foremost, of course, you need the PS Plus subscription, otherwise this won’t work with this PlayStation Plus exclusive. Then go to the relevant Call of Duty: Warzone Battle Pack page on the PS Store and click the buy button there. Ideally, you do this directly on the PS4/PS5, then you can then start the download directly and find the content in your games.

For both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone: As with virtually all related cosmetic content, this Combat Pack works here in both current Call of Duty parts. By the way, all the skins and camos and so on should also be able to be taken into the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Can I also have the items without a subscription? Maybe: It cannot be ruled out that sooner or later this combat pack will find its way into the in-game shop and you can simply buy it. At least it was always the case in the past that something like this was made more widely available, as was the case with the initially PlayStation-exclusive Oni operator.

How do you like the Combat Pack? What do you think of the new PS Plus exclusive Oni skin?
