Square Enix has the release date of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion confirmed for this December.
In Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII unveils the full story of Final Fantasy VII, reuniting with renowned designer Tetsuya Nemura’s most iconic characters. One of the features was the innovative Digital Mind Wave battle system, which took real-time battles to a new level and gave you the opportunity to use special attacks or the famous Final Fantasy summons.
The title features fully remastered HD graphics, a newly arranged soundtrack, and an updated combat system. The story begins seven years before the events of Final Fantasy VII and follows Zack Fair, a young Shinra SOLDIER. During the adventure, he learns about the terrible experiments that Shinra is secretly conducting and the monsters that created them
You can also see in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion more than just a remaster, as producer Tetsuya Nomura recently pointed out:
“At one point there was also a discussion about calling it a ‘remake’ or ‘remaster,'” says Nomura. “I think the product is closer to the definition of a remaster because the story hasn’t changed at all and it’s always the same game.”
Nevertheless, it ultimately offers more than you would expect from a remaster.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will be released on December 13, 2022. As a further foretaste, a new trailer is shown today.
