Cult of the Lamb anticipates what could be its new expansion | Top News

You live on dreams. Or so they say. The most recent, sinful and intense one I’ve had recently, luckily, has a name and a date: Cult of the Lamb. August 21. In a tweet published by the game’s official account, its developers have issued a brief teaser in which we see how our favorite satanic sheep —hence the sinful thing— has returned wanting to fight.

At least that’s how it can be inferred from her look, aggressive like her alone, and her majestic gait. Determined, she advances towards the horizon only to find a strange portal in which a shadow appears in the shape of… a boy? I’m not sure what it is but I want to think that it is an expansion and/or a DLC.

To be honest, if it were this way, Massive Monster would make me very happy. After all, Cult of the Lamb is one of the best (from my perspective) roguelike they have dated for a long time. And not just because its graphics are crazy, that the narrative is as sinister as it is brilliant, or that its gameplay is *text muted*ishly addictive. No. I love Cult of the Lamb because it’s just plain fun, so a new expansion would be wonderful.

To date, apart from the base game and the OST, the game has starred in two DLCs: Heretic Pack and Cultist Pack. However, broadly speaking, what they offer us are skins for our cultists and cosmetic accessories for our community. If they release something new, I would like it to be more content. In other words, I want to continue enjoying the game with new scenarios and adventures.

Be that as it may, we will have to wait, although not too long. On August 21 (time not specified) we can know what is the meaning what hides this particular teaser. Being something so unique, I wanted to believe that it was an expansion… I hope I’m not mistaken.
