Cyberpunk 2077 expansion beats Blood and Wine budget – Latest News
Word is flying around the Internet that the first and at the same time the last expansion Cyberpunk 2077 outgrew the size of the Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
The information comes from an interview of IR manager Marek Bugdoł in the Polish magazine Parkiet. CD Projekt RED itself later clarified that Phantom Liberty is really the biggest expansion in the history of Polish studies, but it only confirmed that in terms of budget.
That doesn’t automatically mean it’s bigger in terms of scope/content either. But one thing is certain. It will definitely not be a small story addition. Wine and Blood could, without exaggeration, be considered the game itself in the world of The Witcher. The play time for the main story was 15 hours, with the side missions after that 28 hours, and everything took about 40 hours to complete.

We’ll have to wait for details on the Phantom Liberty. CD Projekt RED does not yet want to reveal the start of the marketing campaign, as well as the release date. However, we know that development is proceeding according to plan and they are satisfied with the state of the works. The studio hopes that new adventures and heroes (the actor is confirmed Idris Elba) will attract players who know Cyberpunk 2077 well and also encourage many new players to visit Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. The Phantom Liberty expansion will only be released for PC and last generation consoles.
