The Cyberpunk 2077 universe is already vast at present. In addition to the base game and an expansion (Phantom Liberty), it was expanded by a Netflix animated series called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. And soon, this world will be further enriched by a new project.
A crazy project for Cyberpunk 2077
Indeed, this October 5, 2023, the renowned video game development studio CD Projekt Red, famous for its series The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077, announced that it was starting a collaboration with the international media company Anonymous Content. Together, they will develop a live-action project in the universe of the RPG Cyberpunk 2077. You read that correctly. Anonymous Content is far from a novice when it comes to producing high-quality cinematic content.
This international company is known for producing Emmy Award-winning series, such as True Detective and Mr. Robot, and Academy Award-winning films, such as The Revenant and Spotlight. As part of this collaboration, CD Projekt Red is joining forces with several personalities. The head of the television department of Anonymous Content Studios, Garret Kemble, but also with the director of development Ryan Schwartz, and the creative director David Levine. The latter, an industry veteran, was executive vice president and co-head of the drama department at HBO for more than 10 years.
Heavy in perspective
He oversaw the production of series such as True Detective, Westworld, and True Blood. But that’s not all, he also contributed to the production of the first seasons of Game of Thrones. Just that.
