Derek Jeter the legend of the Yankees is the athlete on the cover of MLB The Show 23 Collector’s Edition

Derek Jeter returns to MLB The Show! The 14-time All-Star, 5-time World Series Champion, 5-time Silver Slugger, and 2000 World Series MVP is the cover athlete for MLB The Show 23 Collector’s Edition!

Derek has had one of the greatest careers in baseball history, and we’re glad he’s joining the Collector’s Edition cover athlete club. Derek Jeter needed an epic cover, and we wanted to show it in a different way. With this in mind, we asked visual artist Sanford Greene to introduce Derek from a new perspective.

Derek’s career with the Yankees has been impressive, and on his cover he is literally jumping out of Yankee Stadium. Can you identify all the hidden winks on the cover? We love the cover image and we are happy to finally show the results of this collaboration.

You may wonder what the editions include. For starters, we’re excited to announce that Early Access is back for everyone who purchased any of the Collector’s Editions. The Digital Deluxe Edition or the Captain Edition of MLB The Show 23. Early access for MLB The Show 23 will begin on March 24 and with it you can start playing four days earlier.

Pre-orders will be available starting February 6 on the PlayStation Store and will be ready for action on launch day, where you will receive a Gold Choice Pack for use in MLB The Show 23 just for pre-ordering.

Note: If you purchase physical MLB The Show 23 Standard Edition, you will only have access to that version of the game and will not be able to upgrade later. However, if they buy the digital edition of the Standard Edition (for PlayStation or Xbox) they will be able to upgrade it for a value that they will be able to find out in the PS Store.
