The release of Diablo 4 and with it the fight against Lilith’s hordes is slowly approaching. As usual for Diablo, we are allowed to play into the top-down hack & slay in advance via an open beta. In a blog post, Blizzard has now announced two weekend dates – one Early Access date for all pre-orders, one for everyone. In addition, we now have a rough idea of ​​what we can expect in terms of content on the days.

The dates of the Open Beta weekends

  • Early Access for the Open Beta: March 17th to 19th (pre-orders only)
  • open beta: March 24th to 26th (for everyone)

Note from Blizzard: Keep in mind that the Open Beta may experience performance issues, outages, and other technical issues. After the end of the open beta, the development team wants to collect feedback, evaluate it and make adjustments if necessary.

You can play this in the open beta

Regardless of the Open Beta date, you will get the same content on both weekends. This includes part of the campaEsports Extraswith the prologue and the first act. In the first zone (Fractured Peaks) you can move freely, complete quests, clean dungeons of demons and of course loot diligently.

There is a restriction on the level: You can only push your character up to level 25, after that it’s over. But until the open beta ends, you can still happily pound on enemies and explore the world.

How to redeem your early access beta code

If you already pre-ordered Diablo 4 digitally, you don’t need to do anything else. Early Access to the Open Beta will be available automatically on the platform you pre-ordered on.

If you have an Early Access code, here are instructions, how to redeem it:

  1. Go to diablo.com/beta and log in or create a Battle.net account first.
  2. Enter your code and select your gaming platform and region from the drop-down menu.
  3. Review your selection before clicking the ‘Redeem’ button.
  4. A subsequent page will confirm that the code is valid and has been claimed for the account.
  5. Look for a platform-specific code in the mail account that your Battle.net account uses. This will be emailed to you shortly before Open Beta Early Access begins with new instructions.

Diablo 4 will be released on June 6, 2023 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. If you want to learn more about the Open Beta and the Strongholds (fortresses) and armor system, you can tune in on the official Twitch and YouTube channels on February 28 at 7 p.m. when the developers will reveal more in a live stream.
