Some Diablo 4 fans are currently disappointed with a change in the new patch.
Diablo 4 has plunged fans into a roller coaster ride of emotions in recent weeks. At the start of Season 1, many players were unhappy with changes like class nerfs. Patch 1.1.1 counteracted many points of criticism and improved the atmosphere again. At the same time, however, new annoyances are heating up after the update.
Diablo 4 fans are disappointed with Unique changes
Patch 1.1.1 not only buffed all classes and increased the monster density in certain places, but also made changes to some uniques. More specifically, the affixes have been improved.
An example is the Infernal Hammer, a Legacy Unique Two-Handed Mace. Here, a boost previously applied to enemies suffering from crowd control has been converted to a boost to critical hit damage (via wowhead.com).
Actually, that should be a reason to be happy, but apparently in many cases those who own exactly these items are not. As Wowhead reports, social media platforms are seeing a surge of messages from fans noting that this buff doesn’t apply to gear they already own.
According to player reports, only newly found items come with these changes. So if you want to benefit from the new properties, you have to go farming again.
For example, Reddit user long_time_lurker_zzz complains about this in his post:
Why is it OK to NERF items, but when items are BUFFERED we have to drop them again [gemeint ist hier vermutlich: neu farmen/austauschen].
After that, the fan notes that it seems to him that all decisions are made to make it as uncomfortable as possible. Another user comments: “They don’t respect you or your time.”.

While some comments are milder and a person cannot understand, for example, that others do not want to invest time in additional farming, many opinions are very negative. The shop notifications in the game had recently caused displeasure. So it remains to be seen whether the mood will change for the better in the first season.
What do you think of this limitation in the Uniques change and have you noticed it already?
