Dragon Age 4: finally a new video, but bad news
Awaited firmly by the fans, Dragon Age 4 unveils its very first cinematic. However, it comes with bad news for the most impatient who dream of seeing gameplay.
Happy Dragon Age everyone. On this December 4, the game community celebrates the saga with a whole panel of fanarts and other creations. Like every year, BioWare takes part in the festivities by giving news of the game. The publisher is giving fans a nice gift with a new video of Dragon Age 4, which however comes with a little disappointment.
A new teaser for Dragon Age 4
Dragon Age 4 returns with a short teaser. To celebrate DA day, BioWare has called on the best storyteller in all of Thedas to narrate the challenges of this new opus: Varric. The fan-favorite dwarf could very well be part of the new band of heroes, as the use of the ” we are the only ones who can stop the Implacable Wolf. »
And it is precisely the great villain of the next episode who is at the heart of this new animation video which does not reveal any gameplay or images of the game. It is simply one of the cinematics of Dragon Age 4. It leaves however see the return of 2D cutscenes that were used in DA2. Beware if you haven’t completed Dragon Age Inquisition, the video openly spoils the events of the game and its major plot twist.
I knew him as Solas, a thoughtful mage obsessed with dreams. But long ago he had another name: Fen’Harel, the Relentless Wolf, ancient elven god of lies, or heroic rebel against tyranny – depending on which story you believe. In his last fight with the elven gods, Solas imprisoned them creating a Veil that divided our world from the evil magic of the Fade. But now he wants to destroy this Veil and destroy the world and we are the only ones who can stop him.
No gameplay at The Game Awards 2022
A little appetizer while waiting for more concrete news from Dragon Age 4. The next part of the saga having been regularly shown at the Game Awards, the approach to the event gave way to the hope of a real band -announcement and a true preview of the game. It will obviously not, since BioWare has posted on its blog a new post indicating that it was its way of “closing the year” with the fans.
So don’t expect an appearance from Dragon Age Dreadwolf this Thursday, December 8th. We remind you that the Netflix series should nevertheless provide some clues as to the context of the game. Dragon Age Absolution will be available on the streaming platform from December 9, 2022.
