Dragon Ball Z Kakarot: launch trailer for the DLC that recreates the Tenkaichi Budokai 23
The new DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot –following the ‘Bardock Saga’ with the release of the versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S– takes us back to the first series of dragonball. The arc of the ’23rd Edition of the World Martial Arts Tournament’ (or Tenkaichi Budokai 23) is the one that closes the story of “Child/teenager Goku” in the ‘anime’. In turn facing Piccolo Jr. or simply Piccolo.
When Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot It was launched on January 13 on current generation consoles, it presented the first DLC of its second season pass, Bardock: Alone Against Fate (Only against fate). The Tenkaichi Budokai 23 DLC is the second of three planned by CyberConnect2 and Bandai Namco. Nothing is known about the third but there is a possibility that Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero have representation.
The ‘World Martial Arts Tournament 23rd Edition’ arc includes Goku’s training with Kamisama and takes place after the ‘King Piccolo Saga’, where a child Goku defeated the evil Namekian ‘forever’. Not without him first throwing an egg out of his mouth with his own reincarnation: Piccolo.
After this arc begins the ‘Radditz Saga’ and is the beginning of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot That would complete the circle. In Tenkaichi Budokai 23 we also see Milk again since her debut as the little daughter of Ox-Satan, but already 18 years old, just like Goku. Since Goku doesn’t recognize her at first, she makes him keep his promise to get married. Even though Goku has no idea what that is.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
