Elden Ring
Elden Ring becomes a chilling horror game thanks to mods, and you can already see it
Since its launch in February, many of us have not been able to stop thinking about Elden Ring. FromSoftware’s biggest game had a spectacular premiere and it’s here to stay, and the modding scene has taken note of this and does nothing more than present projects as spectacular as they are strange.
Today’s game, in particular, seeks to make the game experience not only torturous, but also terrifying, and basically turns this action RPG into a scary game by taking a slight inspiration from The Thing thanks to its new and oppressive Siberian atmosphere.
All this comes from the hand of lil aggy, a speedrunner who loves the challenge runs (or challenge games with self-imposed conditions) of Dark Souls and other games in the saga. As he comments on his Twitter, he has commissioned a new mod that returns to the Middle Lands an even more ruthless place.
Activating the blizzard effect everywhere on the game map, randomizing the positions of all the enemies of the same and turning off the user interface, the adventure of Sinluz becomes something even more tortuous, where you will not know what is around you, or where they are going to attack you.
OK THIS IS THE COOLEST THING EVER
I turned Elden Ring into a HORROR GAME by adding the Consecrated Snowfield blizzard effect EVERYWHERE, turning off the HUD, and randomizing the enemies so you never know what’s cominghttps://t.co/P3JqkEnDHF pic.twitter.com/selIcAIHUi

helping himself @thefifthmatta programmer creator of the Elden Ring item and enemy randomizer, the mod is not yet available to everyone, but they warn that it will be soon. LilAggy warns that he will dedicate a post on his Twitter when he is ready, so he recommends you not lose track of him.
If you want to check out other featured Elden Ring mods while you wait, I personally recommend three: Rings of Talent, which adds real professions to the game and makes big changes to their systems; The Convergence, the most ambitious mod to date; and Seamless Co-op, which removes barriers and streamlines the title’s multiplayer experience.
