Elden Ring hides a deleted quest with the first Merchant in its internal files

Elden Ring is riddled with secrets, though not just in the Middle Lands: FromSoftware’s internal game files also hide hidden things that the community has been finding over time since its successful release. We’ve already seen the mystery surrounding his unusable coliseums, and now the same user who figured out how to make them work has stumbled upon another piece of deleted content: a quest chain with Merchant Kale as protagonist.

Merchant Kale is a merchant NPC who has no quest associated, at least in the game that has reached the stores. It is simply a character who sells us objects in the Church of Elleh, in West Necrolimbo. We can talk to him, find out a bit about his past and even follow his advice to meet Blaidd, the half-wolf… But he doesn’t have a quest chain, since he doesn’t even move from the place where he first appears, at the beginning of the game.

This is the quest removed from Merchant Kale in Elden Ring

However, Sekiro Dubi has discovered through the datamining that this NPC did have a quest own that has not reached the final version of Elden Ring. It is curious, since it is a series of missions with changes in location and even completely dubbed lines of dialogue. However, FromSoftware decided not to introduce her in the final game. It is now, thanks to this data minerwhen we can discover something more about the Merchant Kale and his relationship with the Three Fingersalthough we do not recommend watching the video available under these lines if you want to avoid spoilers (Especially from the end of the Lord of the Frenzy Flame).

Elden Ring, which was recently updated to version 1.05, is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In our analysis we tell you about it that it is “a colossal and unthinkable work that does not stop giving us new surprises at every step we take and that it has come to become an instant classic”. We also have a complete wow essential if you are exploring the Middle Lands or if you plan to do so.
