Elden Ring is updated with ray tracing and increases its requirements on PC without complicating your head
Elden Ring is a phenomenon in itself. What moves and has moved FromSoftware’s RPG is spectacular, but one thing must be taken into account, and that is that with Shadow of the Erdtree on the horizon, it will do it again. We would like to be able to talk about the date, but no, only that Elden Ring has released today the ray tracing.
It is often said that “it is not a next generation game without Ray Tracing”. Technology has occupied a spectacular place in the recent video game scene and each release must be signed for it. Now, the Japanese masterpiece finally introduces ray tracing, although it comes with a “increase“ in the requirements.
We don’t want to scare you either, because these changes in the minimum and recommended requirements tables are solely and exclusively for whether you want to make the game work with RT. Of course, FromSoftware’s recommendation is to use a RTX 3060Ti at least one RX6000 of AMDboth capable of offering ray tracing and almost mandatory today in a new build PC.
These are the new requirements:

It should be noted that there are a number of annotations attached to the new requirements. On the one hand, the minimum requirements support a 1080p resolution with low quality Ray Tracing settings. On the other hand, the recommended ones continue to focus on FullHD, but the quality of the RT increases to high.
It is curious to see how the Japanese do not talk about resolutions above 1080p, making it clear that a large part of the gaming community plays at these resolutions. Even so, and taking into account that the game had a hard time taking its first steps in terms of performance, so the DLSS is going to be almost mandatory.
