Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has been in development for over a year

A new post on the LinkedIn profile of a From Software worker confirms that the expansion of Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtreehas been running since at least April 2022, which means that it has been in development for a little over a year.

It seems that FromSoftware he wanted to build on the monumental success of Elden Ring as soon as possible, as this would mean he started working on the expansion just a couple of months after the base game was released.

This points to work on Shadow of the Erdtree being well advanced, which we hope means having a release date. sooner than we predicted initially. Of course FromSoftware’s priority right now is Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, but soon after the game’s release we might have this Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Maybe even before the end of 2023.
