everything we know so far about gta 6

Rumors point to a imminent release of GTA 6. Although we still don’t know anything about the game officially, leaks have been suggesting that we will return to Vice City in a totally massive way. A familiar scenario that, this time, will take the best of GTA V and take it to the next level. Rockstar Games officially confirmed that it was working on GTA 6 in February of last year, but since then the only thing we know about the game is how little is leaking.

A little over a year ago, an unprecedented leak in the history of Rockstar brought to light more than 90 videos and screenshots of an alpha version in development that showed some mechanics of the game. In reality, little of what could be the final version of the game. However, Rockstar itself acknowledged that the leak was real, and that the content of the game corresponded to the development version of GTA 6:

We are extremely disappointed to share with you all the details of our next game in this way. “We will inform everyone again soon and of course we will properly present this upcoming game to you when it is ready. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support during this situation.”

Rockstar statement about the leak.

What this massive leak of the game did put on the table is that we finally knew some preliminary details, including the aforementioned location of the game, the location, some of the characters and a small sneak peek of the gameplay.

A massive map with multiple locations

As we say, the most important rumor is that the game will be developed in a new version of Vice City. Although no map has been confirmed officially or unofficially, everything points to it. And not just Vice City: the entire state of an imaginary Florida would be playable. The map would include a modern and fictional version of Miami as the main hub. And its size would exceed that of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 combined.

Other rumors suggest that along with the fictional florida, GTA 6 will have several playable continents, although some locations would be limited to specific missions, including Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City and London.

Leaks further indicate that the game will evolve and grow over time, adding new cities and regions throughout its lifecycle. However, these updates could be limited to GTA Online.

Various protagonists

The historic GTA 6 leak revealed that the game will have two protagonists, a man and a woman, and that the story will have a line similar to that of Bonnie and Clyde, focused on modern crime. According to the leak, the story would follow a couple who flees from the authorities after a series of robberies. It would also include the use of the character switching mechanic introduced in GTA V.

Possible GTA 6 trailer content

Another leak, this time more recent, put on the table what we will see in the GTA 6 trailer when it is released, supposedly next mes. The trailer would be a tour of some of the most important aspects of the game, with different scenes that show different points of view of the game. According to the leaker, in the GTA 6 trailer you can see:

  • Racing cars competing.
  • Jason drives a boat.
  • A crocodile emerges from the water.
  • Iguanas.
  • Women in carnival clothing dancing on a stage.
  • People falling from a lighthouse.
