Diablo 4 Season 4 will be remembered for its groundbreaking additions, such as permanent Inferno Waves, new crafting mechanics, and a welcome update to Skins and inventory management. However, the class balance changes are also worth mentioning.

Diablo 4 patch 1.4.3 left many fans confused after powerful classes like the Barbarian received even more buffs. Meanwhile, players declared the Druid “ dead » after a minor increase in power.

If you needed proof of the Barbarian’s supremacy in Diablo 4 Season 4, Reddit user dioiadu’s level 80 Artwork Pit run, using a single skill, should suffice. The skill in question is Beatingand those who follow the meta will understand why.

This run was a response to a previous post from a player using the Barbarian to clear a level 80 Pit with a single weapon, thereby reducing the number of Affixes granting them buffs. Although dioiadu had the full range of weapons available for Affixes, he crossed the entire Pit using only the Beating skill.

Whether this feat is on the same level as a single-weapon race is up for debate. Currently, Beating is ridiculously powerful thanks to an unintentional buff to its Temper, making percentage increases multiplicative rather than additive like every other skill in the game.

In practice, where most Tempers offer efficiency increases of up to 30% for particular skills, Beating can be increased many times over thanks to this trait. Blizzard has yet to address the issue in patch 1.4.3, meaning Barbarians will remain powerful for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately, other classes can’t achieve this kind of over-the-top feat, and the disparity between power extremes in Diablo 4 is a problem for players. Whether the solution is to increase the effectiveness of other classes or reduce the impact of the Barbarian is up to Blizzard.
