Ubisoft has shared more details about its plans for the next fiscal year, which begins in April 2024. According to an earnings report, Assassin's Creed Codename RED, the next canonical game in the franchise, will be released by March 2025.
The document reinforces a recent report from Insider Gaming, which had suggested the title's debut for the “second half” of this year. However, players will be able to wait a few more months before experiencing the adventure in Feudal Japan.
Assassin's Creed Codename RED and Star Wars Outlaws are scheduled
The publisher also commented on Star Wars Outlaws. According to her, the game's debut is actually scheduled for this year, but there is still no scheduled release date. Check out the excerpt below from the report, published by CEO Yves Guillemot (via VGC):
Looking forward, we are preparing for a very promising lineup in fiscal year 2025, including the release of Star Wars Outlaws in 2024, which should be an important milestone in the video game industry, especially given the undeniable appeal of this legendary franchise that will debut in open-world territory, much like Assassin's Creed Codename RED, set in the feudal universe of Japan.
We look forward to revealing the full extent of the creative capabilities of the teams at Ubisoft, who are working hard to make these games a success that lives up to gamers' expectations.
Franchise boss Marc-Alexis Cote has revealed that the release date for Assassin's Creed Codename RED will be released “a little later”.
