Members of the cast of the series in live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender revealed to Dexerto that they want to see the introduction of a particular character in the sequel, if there is one.

Avatar: The Last Airbender has broken everything since its arrival on Netflix. The adaptation of the famous cartoon took first place among the series upon its launch, blowing a wind of nostalgia on the streaming platform. Old fans were relieved to find an adaptation worthy of the name, while new ones were able to discover a thrilling adventure in a rich universe.

Adaptation requires, the Netflix series presented changes, sometimes enormous, to fit into the boxes imposed by its eight 50-minute episodes. And some characters have had their stories slightly changed, like Jet in Omashu.

But another character appearing absent was missed on the filming set, according to members of the cast in an interview for Dexerto.com: we are talking here about Toph, master prodigy of the element of Earth.

The actors want to see Toph at all costs if the series continues Avatar on Netflix

Toph is an Earthbender far surpassing most of her peers, despite her young age. His absence in the live-action series is, however, justified: Netflix adapted Book 1, that of Water, and the character only appears in Book 2, that of Earth.

The teenager deviates from the norm in many respects. Blind, she does very well at finding her way thanks to her mastery of the Earth, which far exceeds that of the other masters. It is also she who will be responsible for teaching the element to Aang, in his quest to become the Avatar.

During an interview for Dexerto.com, actors Daniel Dae Kim (King Ozai) and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Uncle Iroh) however expressed their regret at not having seen it: “Toph is missing from the cast, we need her. If by chance we go back for other seasons, it would be really nice to have this final touch for Aang's team, as the community knows it.

If Toph appears, it won't be until season 2 ofAvatar: The Last Airbender. A season 2 which has however not yet been confirmed by Netflix at this stage.
