CD Projekt RED is betting big on the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, previously titled Project Orion. This past week, big names were cast for the game and will provide their services as veterans for the new AAA title.

In the early stages of development, the game is in production at headquarters in North America. In addition to including names like Gabriel Amatangelo, Pawel Sasko, Igor Sarzynski, Andrzej Stopa, Kacper Niepokolczycki and Sarah Grummer, those involved with other popular franchises join the teams.

The news for the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 comes from Dan Hernberg (ex-Amazon Games and Blizzard), Ryan Barnard (ex-Massive, Ubisoft and IO Interactive) and Alan Villani (ex-WB Games). They had significant appearances in series such as Mortal Kombat and Hitman.

Meanwhile, award-winning screenwriter Anna Megill, who contributed to the narratives of Control, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, reunites with comic artist and writer Alexander Freed, from Star Wars: The Old Republic.
