Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D arrives in November; more remakes in 2025

After a few months of “rehashing” the news, Square Enix announced that the remake of Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D will be released on November 14th for PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC. And not only that: the remakes of the first and second games arrive on the same platforms in 2025.

A trailer revealed during Nintendo Direct brought lots of news about Square Enix’s next project. According to the video, the game will have “improved and modernized user interface and other quality of life improvements”.

Furthermore, new animations will be implemented in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, as well as the possibility of adjusting the battle speed and making it automatic. Watch the trailer below:

Dragon Quest 3 and more titles in the franchise will get remakes

While Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake arrives in November this year, the first two games in the franchise return in enhanced versions in 2025. A premiere date has not yet been announced by the developers.

Chronologically, Dragon Quest 1 and 2 follow the events of the third mainline game. As the games were announced simultaneously, it is possible that they will be offered as a bundle for players.

Further details, such as additional content and screenshots, were not disclosed.
