Dragon's Dogma 2 has no fps limits or graphics modes

When Hidetaki Itsuno published on his profile on the social network, that Dragon's Dogma 2 would not have an fps limit, generated great expectation among RPG fans. And now that the embargo on previews has lifted, to which Capcom invited some press outlets from around the world, the subject has come up again. After all, how does the graphic part of the title work?

First impressions have been quite positive, with many compliments on the game. Regarding frames per second, there really is no limitation, and their average is around 31fps. Obviously, varying more and less depending on the situation. In any case, far from the 60fps that many players would see as ideal. And, no, there are no quality x performance mode options.

“The game has an unlocked frame rate. We're aiming to hit around 30 FPS or so. This also applies to consoles. There are some functions that you can turn on and off, but there are not multiple sets of options that you can change at once. But yes, the frame rate will be unlocked for all consoles”, commented Itsuno, in an interview with Game Informer.

Dragon's Dogma 2 arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on March 22.
