Dragon's Dogma 2 will have FPS unlocked, confirms Capcom

Dragon's Dogma 2 has not yet had its resolution modes for consoles confirmed by Capcom, however, Hideaki Itsuno, director of the RPG, brought news for fans. Playing the title will have an unlocked frame rate.

For PC gamers, this means the ability to enjoy the game at higher frame rates, potentially exceeding 120 FPS at higher resolutions. This flexibility in frame rate can significantly improve the gaming experience for those with more powerful hardware.

On the other hand, this does not clarify whether the game will exceed 30 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series, as has been recently speculated. This is especially relevant considering the RPG's vast open world. Look at the post below:

Dragon's Dogma 2 will launch with an unlimited framerate!

The translation of the Japanese text mentions “variable frame rate” in the experience. Apparently, Capcom still needs to explain this more broadly so that all players on other platforms can stay up to date.
