Electronic Arts did not cancel Star Wars JEDI and Marvel games

This week, the industry was bombarded with news of layoffs. And among the most recent were the more than 650 dismissed from Electronic Arts. However, while some projects were canceled by the publisher, others are still very much alive, such as the new Star Wars JEDI and Marvel games.

According to a report from Tech4Gamers, titles in partnership with Disney are still in development. The concerns that surrounded the community occurred shortly after the publisher stated that “licensed IPs will not be successful in our industry”.

There is still no release date for the games. The sequel to Star Wars JEDI: Survivor remains in the hands of Respawn, which abandoned the supposed Mandalorian FPS game, while Black Panther is Cliffhanger Games' debut title and Dead Space dev EA Motive produces Iron Man's .

According to Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, the new strategy aims to reposition the market and focus on products that have been successful among players.

Electronic Arts will release EA Sports F1 24 in May
