Electronic Arts has millionaire revenue after restructuring

The business restructuring carried out by Electronic Arts in the last fiscal year appears to have brought immediate results for executives. Between March 2023 and February 2024, the publisher’s management raised around US$60 million.

A report from Eurogamer provided more details on the amounts accumulated by the company’s main names. Andrew Wilson, current CEO, received more than US$25 million for strategic and operational recognition.

Electronic Arts’ shareholder return also netted $12 million for Laura Miele for her support of the launch of Star Wars JEDI: Survivor, and $6.5 million for finance department leader Stuart Canfield.

Electronic Arts’ record collection comes in the face of sacrifices

The US$60 million raised in the last fiscal period comes during a turbulent period for the company. This year, the publisher canceled the development of some mobile titles and laid off around 5% of its global workforce.

Furthermore, Electronic Arts was involved in a recent controversy, praising the use of artificial intelligence in game production and suggesting broad interest. These decisions would aim to optimize the business and provide support to key growth areas.
